The QiongYue D1 prototype completed full-system ground integration covering propulsion, avionics, flight control, and energy systems. Subsystem interfaces matched well, and full-power run data met expectations.
What Full-System Integration Validates
Ground integration is the pivotal stage in a multirotor eVTOL program: the propulsion system must demonstrate full-power output and thermal behavior on the bench; avionics and flight control must complete sensor calibration, control-law closure, and redundancy-switching drills; and the energy system must verify battery-swap interfaces, power distribution, and BMS coordination. Any mismatched interface would be amplified into risk at the flight stage.
Paving the Way for Tethered Flight
The team will optimize control-law parameters based on integration data and freeze the system configuration, laying the foundation for tethered flight. Solving problems on the ground is the fundamental principle of flight-test risk control.
